Abramovich fails to halt £2bn Berezovsky lawsuit - papers

Roman Abramovich will be forced to publicly explain his business dealings and ties to the Kremlin after he failed yesterday to strike out a £2bn lawsuit brought by his former business partner Boris Berezovsky.

A trial was scheduled for October next year when the Chelsea FC owner, who rarely talks about his business activities, will face cross-examination by a leading commercial barrister, according to the Times. The trial, which could last 11 weeks, will be the biggest in a series of disputes between Russian oligarchs that have been fought in the English courts in recent years. FULL STORY...
