Canada Life rolls-out free Early Intervention Services for Group IP

Canada Life has formally launched its Early Intervention Services (EIS) for group income protection (GIP) clients.

EIS addresses the need to reduce long-term absenteeism and help employees back to work through intervention in the earliest stage of absence. Assistance for insured employees is normally after four weeks continuous absence, but when dealing with specific work-related and/or mental health related disorders, the intervention can be provided after just two weeks absence. The service provides the employer with specialist medical input, with the ultimate goal to agree a customised action plan for rehabilitation.
