Aegon will extend its adviser training programme on how to better market personal protection into the New Year.
The move follows the close of this year's round of personal protection workshops ‘Opening Doors' by the insurer. Content for the 2010 programme will build on this year's scheme, though potentially not in the same workshop format and with modifications dependent on changes linked to the RDR, says Aegon. The programme will look at ways advisers can move away from segmenting their existing client base by wealth and instead use categories such as newly divorced, business owners and self-employed with no income protection.
