Austrian TEP provider links with UK IFAs

AVD, the Austria-based provider of traded endowment policies (TEPs), is launching in the UK.

From January 2010, AVD UK will start a distribution partnership with providers and intermediaries including AJ Bell, Moore Stephens and SimplyBiz. Joint managing directors Richard Cook and Richard Simmonds will head up the UK operations. Both were founding members of mortgage broker LSA Group International. Simmonds says a UK launch makes sense due to the current low interest rates.
