Jupiter Merlin makes 'keystone' changes and cuts charges on Select range to attract advisers

A number of upcoming changes to Jupiter’s Merlin Select fund-of-funds range, including a reduction in charges, represent the culmination of a four-year project to broaden its appeal to the advice market, according to investment manager David Lewis.

From 2 November, the broader £7.2bn Merlin range will comprise two "wings", with the legacy unfettered Balanced, Growth, Income and Worldwide portfolios grouped under a new ‘Signature' sub-brand. This will be a cosmetic modification to the range, which launched in 1992, with no changes to investment strategy, risk profile or fees. Meanwhile, the four-strong £630.5m Jupiter Merlin Select range, formed in 2023, was augmented with the launch of two new funds on 12 August – Balanced and Growth – with the suite now stretching across Defaqto risk ratings ‘3' to ‘8'.
