Maggie Craig named interim ABI head

Maggie Craig will be interim director general of the ABI until a replacement for Stephen Haddrill is announced, the trade body said today.

Craig, currently director of life and savings, will assume the role from 16 November after Haddrill leaves to become the head of the Financial Reporting Council. The ABI says it will announce a permanent replacement in the near future. Spokesman Jon French says: "Maggie has a great deal of experience at the ABI and we are very pleased she is going to take over the helm until the new permanent director general comes on board."
