Adviser complaints aginst lenders soar 64%

Adviser complaints against mortgage lender service levels and practices have jumped by almost two thirds in the past twelve months, according to Sesame.

Issues stemming from the credit crunch, including dual pricing by lenders and case rejection, are the main reasons for broker dissatisfaction. Sesame says the number of complaints from its advisers has climbed by 64% in the first half of 2009 compared to the second half of 2008. John Cupis, head of mortgages and general insurance at Sesame, says poor service is exacerbating difficulties brokers are facing when sourcing deals and placing business.
