Friends Prov backs corporate pensions adviser charging

Friends Provident has thrown its support behind the introduction of adviser charging in the corporate pensions market.

The insurer believes the model can be made to work for the benefit of employees and members, but says flexibility will be key to ensuring it does not adversely affect pension saving. In its latest RDR consultation, the FSA announced a further discussion paper to discover the feasibility of implementing the adviser charging model in the corporate space. It invited those involved in the corporate pensions market to give their thoughts on how adviser charging might work for group advice, with a full consultation expected later this year.
