FSSC begins strategic review to regain license

The Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC) is calling on stakeholders, including financial advisers, to have their say on the future of the organisation as part of an independent review.

New managing director Simon Ellis, who is overseeing the review, says he wants opinions and suggestions on specific skills needs and challenges as well as on the current and future role of the FSSC. The organisation has launched a website to enable interested parties to submit their views online before the review's September expiry date. In May, Government ministers, as part of their annual evaluation of UK skills councils, decided the FSSC's role and strategy should be subject to review.
