Drawdown win for Dunstan Thomas

TECHNOLOGY provider Dunstan Thomas has landed a deal to run Friends Provident's new income drawdown system.

Demand from customers wanting more flexible pension options prompted the life company to launch a new platform to provide policyholders with access to drawdown options. Jeremy Ward, head of pensions marketing at Friends Provident, said A-Day created an expectation of greater flexibility among policyholders and it wanted to respond quickly to that plea. Under the new deal, Dunstan Thomas will build its own Imago modules into Friends Provident’s existing New Generation pension administration platform.
