Insight unveils UK Equity Income Booster

Insight has launched an equity income fund aiming to provide an enhanced level of income and capital growth.

The fund targets an 8% yield based on income distributions over a twelve-month period. Insight UK Equity Income Booster invests at least 80% in UK equity and equity-related securities and features a systematic call option overwriting programme to boost income and reduce volatility. Subject to FSA approval, the fund will be co-managed by equity income specialist Tim Rees, who takes primary responsibility for stock selection and the day-to-day running of the fund, and derivatives expert Richard Lloyd, who will manage the call option overlay.
