UK property markets 'have peaked'

SPECIALIST property fund company Property Bourse has warned that UK buy-to-let and residential markets have peaked.

According to Property Bourse, 25-30pc of investment will be in niche areas over the next 10 years because future profitability lies in boutique property investment funds sold via intermediaries. The firm says it has become “increasingly hard” to make money in “over-bought” UK property, as rates have risen and capital growth has slowed. However, risk-weighted funds allow investors to enter high-return areas, such as overseas property and development funding, for as little as £12,500 while spreading their exposure.
