Odey to launch UK absolute return vehicle

Odey Asset Management intends to launch a UK-focused absolute return fund to be managed by James Hanbury.

The fund will fall under the UCITs III regime and will hold approximately 35-50 positions. It will have the freedom to allocate up to 20% to Europe and 10 % to ETFs. Hanbury recently joined Odey from hedge fund boutique ZA Capital. He will be assisted in the management of the new fund by Crispin Odey, founding partner and CIO of Odey.
