Lazard plans UK income fund launch

LAZARD Asset Management is planning to launch a new income fund into the UK retail market, using the firm's World Dividend Equity Strategy.

Subject to market testing, Professional Adviser understands the new product would be structured as a mutual fund sitting in the firm’s existing mutual fund umbrella, and targeting a yield of 5pc. The offering would use the same strategy that the company has been running for institutional investors since 2005. The World Dividend Equity Strategy, headed up by New York based Patrick Ryan and his team, analyses 900 stocks used across Lazard’s portfolios, with the team selecting between 60 and 100 holdings on a yield basis to create a global equity portfolio.
