Ingenious opens UK equity fund to retail market

INGENIOUS Asset Management, part of media investment and advisory group Ingenious Media, will market its multi-manager UK Equity fund to retail investors for the first time.

The minimum investment on the fund will be reduced from £50,000 to £3000 to open the fund to a wider investor base. The fund is suitable for ISAs and pension planning, Ingenious said. The fund, which launched in December 2003, is split between three investment managers who hold exactly ten stocks at any one time. The decision to market the fund to retail investors comes after a series of expansionary moves by the group.
