Yorkshire Building Society cuts mortgage rates

Yorkshire Building Society has cut the cost of its two-year fixed rate mortgages and set a £250,000 maximum.

The building society has cut the interest rate for the two-year fixed rate loan to value (LTV) mortgage up to 75% to 4.89% and the up to 95% mortgage to 5.09%. For mortgages more than £250,000 it has cut the rate on the up to 75% mortgage to 5.09% and the up to 95% version to 5.29%. All mortgages require a £995 fee. Re-mortgage customers will also receive a free valuation and free legal service. The provider will reveal reductions on the rest of its mortgage range next week.
