Assetz is urging medium-term investors to consider investing in buy-to-let, despite speculation the housing market may go into decline.

The firm claims a number of factors in the UK property market, including direct effects of the recent credit crunch, are creating one of the most profitable buy-to-let situations in several years. Assetz says high interest rates are causing first time buyers to delay home purchase, increasing demand for rental property and putting upward pressure on rents.
