Onus to change industry on you, not us - FSA

Amanda Bowe today tells advisers: it is up to you, and not the FSA, to change the financial services industry.

In an exclusive interview with IFAonline, Bowe says there is a misconception the RDR is being forced on advisers. “The misunderstanding of the RDR is that we want the market to make these important decisions,” she says. “We don’t think we should be making the decisions for the industry.” Bowe says feedback it has received so far on the RDR discussion paper suggests some firms assume the changes proposed are a foregone conclusion.
