Intermediary range withdrawn at Chelsea

Chelsea has withdrawn its range of intermediary products after receiving unprecedented demand.

The move is the latest in a long line of product withdrawals and repricing as lenders change their focus from increasing market share to ensuring they have a good quality loan book. The lender says it will return to the market with a new product range on 9 May. It says the influx of broker queries has hampered service levels to intermediaries, prompting the withdrawal of products. In the meantime, Chelsea will concentrate of servicing new business currently in the underwriting process. Applications for current products must be submitted by 5pm today.
