Haddrill to leave ABI

Stephen Haddrill, director general of the ABI will leave in November to become chief executive of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC).

Haddrill will take over from Paul Boyle in mid-November. Boyle announced his decision to stand down as chief executive in January and will work with Haddrill in the overlap to ensure a smooth hand-over. However, Haddrill's successor at the ABI has not yet been decided. The ABI says "the wheels are in motion" in choosing the right person for the job. It could not confirm when the decision would be reached.
