Free IFA consolidation seminars launched

Free seminars on selling and valuing IFA businesses are being launched for advisers across West Yorkshire and the North.

Leeds-based law firm Irwin Mitchell, which is running the events, says it will outline the legal process for advisers considering consolidating or exiting the industry. The three breakfast seminars, which will also deal with wealth and risk management, are set to start on 23 April. "The Retail Distribution Review (RDR) is aimed at moving IFAs away from commission-based structures to receiving regular annual income from clients," partner Paul Johnson says.
