Prudential has attempted to draw a line over the issue of mortgage endowment complaints setting a six-month timebar for complaints to be received.
The life insurance firm says it will be writing to 110,000 mortgage endowment customers who have previously received a “red letter”, warning them of a shortfall in their endowment policy, to advise them of its intention to introduce a complaint deadline. Customers will then have six months in which to lodge a mis-selling complaint. The timebar will only apply to those mortgage endowments sold direct by Prudential and Scottish Amicable but the provider warns other companies and IFA firms enforce their own time limits for complains and its advice to intermediary customers is to check with...
