Cash rich, time poor Britons "are a myth"

Most UK adults are content with their work-life balance, and are not tying themselves in knots over extracting a few precious extra minutes out of every day, research from Mintel suggests.

The consultant's January survey of some 2,000 people over the age of 15 found that about 80% felt their time was well used, with just 5% saying they were "time stressed". Mintel admits the findings go against a lot of anecdotal evidence recently published about people feeling stressed by a long working hours culture. However, it also suggests this may be the result of people managing their time better through acquiring more "convenience" in their lifestyles, freeing up more time to spend on things they would rather be doing.
