Xit2 acquired by MDA

Xit2 has been bought by information services provider MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates (DMA) for £12.5m as part of expansion plans for its property information business in the UK.

Both companies say they expect the deal to strengthen their market position in the emerging home information pack (Hip) business. Xit2 will continue to operate as a standalone business. The existing management team remains unchanged and retains day-to-day control of the company. Daniel Friedmann, president and chief executive at MDA, says the acquisition of xit2 represents another step forward in MDAs strategy to provide property information in the UK.
