A memorial service will be held in London on April 11 following the death of former Institute of Financial Planning chairman and president David Norton last month.

In a letter sent to the IFP, Julia Norton, wife of David, says the family has been “greatly touched” by the hundreds of cards and letters of sympathy, sent by people who knew David in a professional context. “We have taken comfort from your tributes and anecdotes, which testify that, even by the age of 54, David’s warmth, encouragement and vision for the financial planning world had already made a difference to the lives of many.” A memorial service will be held at 12 noon at St. George’s Church, Hanover Square on April 11th, followed by refreshments at the Lansdowne Club.
