Home & Capital snaps up Hinton & Wild

Ecclesiastical Life has sold its independent equity release advice business, Hinton & Wild, to the Home & Capital Trust Group it was announced today.

Home & Capital hopes to use the acquisition to expand its adviser business to a wider range of clients after launching its own advice business earlier this year. Hinton & Wild was founded in 1976 by Cecil Hinton, who was the first secretary of the industry trade body, Safe Home Income Plans (SHIP). Both Ecclesiastical Life and Home & Capital were founder members of SHIP, along with Hinton & Wild, which was the motivation for Ecclesiastical to sell to Home & Capital.
