ACA picks up new chairman from Watson Wyatt

One of consulting firm Watson Wyatt's most senior and experienced actuaries is to take over as chairman of the Association of Consulting Actuaries (ACA).

Ian Farr who has previously worked for Friends Provident before joining Watson Wyatt and has been on the main committee of ACA since 1997, will replace the current chairman Adrian Waddingham on the 1 June. Looking ahead to his new role at ACA, Farr says the period ahead looks to be extremely testing in terms of pension challenges, not least with the latest government-led reforms expected in a White Paper later this month.
