Bupa extends Great Run series sponsorship

Bupa has won the race to sponsor the Great Run series for another five years, making it one of the longest sporting sponsorships in the UK.

The health and care company’s stamina for the 21 year sponsorship of the event reflects the stature the race has achieved, it says. Over 164,000 people enter a Bupa Great Run event each year, with the Bupa Great North Run, the world’s largest half-marathon, seeing the millionth entry and the 750,000th runner cross the finish line last weekend. The race was broadcast live on the BBC, with highlights shown internationally across Europe, Africa, Australasia and Asia.
