The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) has given evidence to the Competition Commission's enquiry into PPI.
AMI says it highlighted the important role PPI performs in protecting consumers, but says it is one of many products mortgage intermediaries consider when advising clients on protection. AMI pointed out to the Commission that mortgage PPI is quite different from other PPI products and a good intermediary will consider all options for their client and will not just recommend MPPI.
