Widows urged to seek financial advice

Standard Life has urged widows to review their legal and financial affairs to meet their changed circumstances.

The call follows research conducted by Standard Life, which reveals that only 49% of the UK population have a will, and only 24% have the power of attorney. The research also revealed that 57% of people with children have no will, compared with 48% of those without children, meaning many may not have made adequate provisions for their children.
