Paul Braithwaite and the group Policyholders for Justice have failed by two nominations to qualify for standing in Standard Life's elections for board positions.
This means Michael Hogan and David Stonebanks remain as the only two outsiders seeking a place at the board, along with six of the company’s directors seeking election or re-election to the six seats available. Braithwaite says he was disqualified after some three dozen nominations were disqualified, meaning he fell just short of the minimum 250 required. Braithwaite delivered 285 nominations to Standard Life on Monday this week ahead of the relevant deadline.
