House prices bloom for award winning towns

House prices in towns with an award winning approach to landscaping and environmental management tend to outperform the regional average, according new research

Halifax Estate Agents claims house prices in those towns that have been awarded gold medals through the “Britain in Bloom” competition organised by The Royal Horticultural Society tend to be 23% higher than average property prices for their region. Twenty-two out of the 32 towns and cities that have won the award since 1994 have house prices above the regional average, and in some cases prices are up to 83% higher.
