Trade associations launch mortgage T&C web service

The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries has launched a guide explaining how to set out becoming a regulated mortgage adviser, to coincide with the official start of the Financial Services Authority accepting application forms for direct authorisation.

Mortgage Assess builds on the already established Financial Assess for IFAs,and offers a range of services. These include a modular self-testing programme based on multiple-choice questions with feedback, and a clear audit trail for senior managers keen to meet statutory obligations of ensuring skills competency. With an estimated 60,000 people now CeMAP qualified, it is important to get the service up an running to provide support at the individual level, says LIA director general Mark Ommanney.
