CII backs new financial planning degree

The Chartered Insurance Institute has joined forces with educational charity Life Academy to promote a new University of Surrey course aimed at advisers.

Delivered by Life Academy - the new Mid-Life, Pre-Retirement and Life Planning program is run in three stages; post graduate certificate, post graduate diploma and masters. The MSc course, the first such program to be offered in the UK, provides a natural progression for Chartered Financial Planners – the CII says. The certificate and diploma stages each require completion of four modules with a dissertation in order to complete the MSc.
