Leonard Licht appointed chairman of Hg Capital

HgCapital, the revised name for Mercury Private Equity, has appointed Leonard Licht as chairman. Licht, a former vice chairman of Mercury Asset Management Group became Deputy Chairman of Jupiter Tyndall in 1992. The name change to HgCapital - Hg is a reference to mercury on the periodic table - follows the group's independence from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in 2000.
