Tories' £500k from City boss dubbed 'Keyser Soze' - papers

The Tories faced renewed questions over their links to rich tycoons last night after accepting a £500,000 donation from a City boss who revels in his comparison to a notorious Hollywood villain.

Hedge fund boss Jon Wood gave David Cameron the money on 4 May - two days before the General Election. His ruthless manner has led to him be nicknamed 'Keyser Soze' after the elusive gangster played in the film The Usual Suspects, writes the Daily Mail. The handout from the businessman  will fuel criticism that the Conservatives are too dependent for funds from the super-rich. It was revealed four days after David Rowland quit as Tory treasurer following scrutiny of his business dealings. Read more....
