The fanfare which followed the introduction of Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Schemes (QROPS) in 2006, and the plethora of jurisdictions and pension scheme providers who jumped on the bandwagon, appeared to signify a new, enlightened time for internationally mobile individuals, and their pension capital.
