RP: We need clear pathways to retirement advice

"The Budget freedoms are not license for people to spend their retirement income unwisely" - so said Key Retirement Solutions' Billy Burrows when I interviewed him recently (see pages 4-5).

It is true that the recent announcements have done much to pique people's interest in what they can do with their pension pot but without the appropriate guidance and/or advice they risk making bad decisions. We need to be able to identify clear pathways to good quality guidance and advice services so those in the run up to retirement get the information they need to make informed decisions.
