Three Europe managers tell Charlotte Richards which stocks have supported their funds during a torrid time for the region.

There was a distinct lack of good news for the Europe ex-UK sector last year. The sovereign debt crisis, turmoil in Greece and slowing global growth all sent investors fleeing from the sector. It was, therefore, unsurprising to learn it was the worst selling IMA sector of 2011, with total outflows of £679m during the year. However, the start of this year has brought with it some positive news. In early February, Germany announced that its economy grew by 3% in 2011 and, despite Standard & Poor's downgrading France's credit rating from AAA to AA+, its economy grew 1.7%. The sector w...
