ARC Capital & Income has launched a new version of its Bull & Bear Tracker product providing investors with exposure to the FTSE 100.

The FTSE 100 made early losses today, losing 16.3 points, or 0.25%, to settle on 6504.1 at around 9.45am.

The FTSE made early gains and is up 3.1 points, or 0.05%, to 6570.6.

The FTSE 100 closed this afternoon at 6,562.20, an increase of 0.88%, while the FTSE 250 closed at 11,648.40, up 0.56%. M&A speculation surrounding Centrica and InterContinental boosted the markets.

The FTSE began the week with a rally led by Centrica after OAO Gazprom, the world's biggest natural gas supplier, said it expects to make a British acquisition ‘in the near future'.

The FTSE 100 has ended the day unchanged at 6,505.1 points, as early losses were offset by a good start on Wall Street.

The FTSE 100 is down 10.3 points, or 0.16%, to 6,494.8 in early trading, as an almost 200 point fall on Wall Street last night has pushed the index lower.

The FTSE 100 has ended the day down 17.6 points, or 0.27%, to 6,505.1, as the hold on interest rates has been overshadowed by the opening fall on Wall Street.

The FTSE 100 has started the day up 20.90 points, or 0.32%, to 6,543.6, as miners and telecoms push the index higher.
