Michael Nelson has been a senior reporter at Investment Week since September 2025, covering everything from fixed income and equity funds to investment trusts and alternative assets for the retail investment industry.

His work has previously appeared in PA Future, where he spent two years covering sustainable investment practices.

He has an MA in journalism from Staffordshire University, achieving a distinction; was highly commended as Newcomer of the Year at the Aviva Sustainability Media Awards in 2024; and achieved his CFA Investment Foundations Certificate in January 2026.
