Pru reveals name of self-employed financial planning arm

Prudential's financial planning business is to be called 'The Advice Partnership from Prudential' (TAP), the financial services giant has revealed.

The advice network, which will launch fully later in 2019, will be headed up by Tom Hegarty, who joined the business from the New Model Business Academy, where he was managing director. TAP will initially be available, by invitation only, to up to 30 of Prudential's current 375-strong adviser team. Prudential said it was inviting advisers to build their own businesses. As part of the deal of joining the network, it added, advisers will have the option to "capture enterprise value from their efforts" after a minimum period of five years.
