IFA urges fellow advisers to hold career talks in schools

Chartered financial planner Filip Slipaczek has urged fellow advisers to hold financial services career talks in schools, after he himself spoke to students at a London school.

Slipaczek recently presented to 10 groups of students aged 14 at Finchley Catholic school on the benefits of a career in financial services. He said: "There's definitely a demand for advisers to get involved." Slipaczek pointed out that giving careers talks qualified as continuing professional development (CPD), which could be a good incentive for other advisers to offer similar talks in schools.
