Every day, there seems to be another news story of a major company being struck down by a cyber-attack, with the likes of Harrods, M&S, the Co-op and Jaguar Land Rover among those hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons so far this year. But we should not be fooled into thinking that it is only the ‘big guys' that are being targeted. Half of UK small businesses identified a cyberattack last year, according to the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), with around one in four experiencing a cybercrime.
