It’s time to exorcise the blank spaces on the annuity quote request form to ensure retirees are getting the most competitive rates, says Stephen Lowe

Annuity providers don't ask to see potential customers in the flesh but perhaps we should doublecheck that they do have an earthly presence. Data suggests that doesn't always seem to be the case and it could be costing retirees dear. Every year we receive hundreds of thousands of requests for annuity quotes. Last year, a spooky four in ten included no information about the customer's height or weight. Adding further to the mystery is that often there was no personal medical information included either.
