How did you get into the industry? I moved to the UK from Bermuda 25 years ago. I was told I had no chance of getting into the industry and I had failed to do so in the US where I went to college as I wasn't an American citizen – all hugely demoralising. I spread my CV far and wide and it caught the eye of the then CEO of Rathbone's asset management business, Peter Pearson Lund. He gave me a job and told me my degree in Romance Studies (French) got me noticed in amongst the other ‘beige' CVs. He gave me a chance and I have been here ever since. What is your edge?
