The business development manager (BDM) is an essential two-way router between adviser and providers so this BDM Benchmark from Davies Marsh in association with Adviser Home makes for interesting reading for both parties. In this year's report advisers place most value on the BDM as a troubleshooter for service issues. Last year's study had technical knowledge as the main source of value and this clear swing suggests advisers are not well pleased with current provider service levels.
