Considering how important business development managers (BDMs) are for both parties - providers and advisers - there's not a lot of information around on what advisers need from a BDM and whether they get what they need. So Adviser Home and Gareth Davies, of Davies Marsh, specialist recruiter and commentator in this sector got together to look deeper into all this and create a BDM Benchmark. First up it's clear that BDMs are still really important to advisers - with a 97% score on this dimension. There are fewer BDMs than there used to be and some advisers can't always get hold of one...
