A summer of fun and spending is widely predicted as we emerge from lockdown life. But any potential surge in spending, initial or otherwise, over the course of the latter months of 2021 will raise the issue of sustainability of capital into the longer term, writes Keith Churchouse

It has been interesting speaking to clients in the approach to the end of the tax year, with conversations on ISAs, using the capital gains tax allowance and pension contributions already completed, the focus moves forward to the new tax year 2021/2022.  Sure, we have to be mindful that there are far more exciting things to look forward to for most as we edge towards the end of spring and into the summer.
