Like millions of others, my wife and I have recently started watching the latest Netflix hit, Bridgerton. For the uninitiated, it follows the love-sick trials of young debutantes, as they navigate the pomp and power struggles of the Regency-era ‘season' with all its rumour and gossip. A guilty pleasure, if ever there was one. I obviously need to get out more, though, as I couldn't help but notice the parallels this week to our own marriage season here in platform land.
